ABOUT US

The Troszak CPA firm began operations in 1975, serving customers primarily
in accounting and tax services. In the late 1990's, Doug realized
that simple accounting and tax preparation was not reaching all the needs
of his clients. Businesses were striving to manage a number of ancillary
business services, not necessarily related to their product or service.
In many cases Doug found these could be consolidated and managed
through his firm in a much more efficient and profitable way. At that time
the firm expanded into areas such as auditing, payroll, employee benefits
administration, insurance, real estate and asset management, litigation
support, and forensic services. This has proved to be a forward-thinking decision,
especially as businesses strive to get lean.
Doug
is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He was an All-Big Ten tackle
under Coach Bo Schembechler. After a short career with the Green Bay Packers
and New Orleans Saints, Doug returned to the Detroit area to work at Ford
Finance and earn his MBA at the University of Detroit. Following his stint
at Ford, Doug joined Price Waterhouse where he received the high level experience
and broad based knowledge enabling him to become a CPA. In 1975 he founded
The Troszak CPA Group.
Since that time, Doug has also received accreditation as a member of FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), member of SPIC (Securities Protection Investment Corporation), and CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst).
